Oceanchem to Showcase Brominated and Phosphorus-based FRs at CHINAPLAS 2019

Oceanchem is in the flame retardant business from 1990s, following the global market demand based on the abundant resources of Chinese bromine, which is mined from natural underground halogen water.

Brominated Flame Retardants for Multiple Applications

It started to produce bromine based flame retardant, DBDPO/DECA, then later the production of DBDPE,TBBA, BDDP, BPS, HBCD, TBPA, BT93W, TBP etc. started step by step with the support from the customers and partners, and cooperated with the experts/professors from famous Chinese universities.

Brominated flame retardants are used in a variety of applications such as:
  • Electronic housings
  • Printed circuit boards
  • Electrical connectors
  • Flexible or rigid polyurethane (PU) foam

Brominated flame retardants provide optimal processing while maintaining outstanding physical properties in a cost effective manner.

In 2003, with the development of the group, and in order to meet the customer’s requirement, Oceanchem group started to produce the phosphorus-based flame retardants such as TCPP, TCEP, TDCP, TBP, TIBP etc. Flame retardant products are applicable to a wide range of plastics, polymers and polymer alloys.

Phosphorus-Based FRs for Demanding Applications

Oceanchem Group Limited offers the most comprehensive range of phosphorus-based flame retardants, fire resistant plasticizers and hydraulic fluids for high demanding applications. Bromine and Phosphorus based Flame Retardants are considered as the two most efficient FR families and in fact, they constitute approximately 55% (in value) of the total FR usage.

They also supply additional non-halogen and non-phosphorus based flame retardant such as aluminium hydroxide(ath), magnesium hydroxide and melamine cyanurate(mca), zinc borate, zinc stannate, zinc hydroxy stannate, antimony trioxide.
