POLYBATCH® AF 1085

POLYBATCH® AF 1085 by LyondellBasell is an anti-fogging masterbatch. LDPE, LLDPE or EVA films become cloudy so that the packaged articles such as meat, flowers or vegetables cannot be seen through their packaging due to which visual appeal, actual observable quality and labelling are adversely affected. It has a minor influence on haze and slight cling adhesion on glass. POLYBATCH® AF 1085 contains migratory non-ionic tension-active substances that can interfere with other components (such as slip-additives) in the film formulation. However, it will not impair the properties of the film as far as toughness, elongation and transparency is concerned. It can be used in polyethylene films for food packaging according to FDA and EEC approval.
