S-1 Glass™

Glass fiber. It has been designed to meet the requirements for applications where E glass no longer meets the requirements and S-2 Glass would be over specified. It has benefits vs. E-Glass like 20% higher modulus, 45% higher tensile strength, lower density, improved impact strength, higher temperature resistance, improved fatigue life. It is GL approved for use in the Wind Turbine industry but also meet the requirements for applications in Long Fiber Reinforcement for Thermoplastics (LFT), vehicle armor systems, breathing apparatus bottles and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) tanks.
