Akroform® HMT-65/EPR/P

Akroform® HMT-65/EPR/P by Akrochem is a 65% polymeric dispersion of hexamethylenetetramine in EPR. It acts as an efficient accelerator for sulfenamide and thiazole type cure system. It is used with resorcinol (with silica) to make rubber-to-fabric adhesion possible. It allows easy weigh-up and protection from skin irritation due to its pelletized form. In polymer-bound dispersions are a proven means of upgrading plant safety, quality and raw material control. It shows better uniformity of the mix at lowering processing temperature. It eliminates irritating dust and other potential hazards in handling powder in plants when encapsulated with chemical dispersion. Recommended level of active HMT is 1.6 phr, active resorcinol is 2.5 phr and silica to bond rubber formulas (nylon, cotton, activated polyester) is 10-15 phr. Akroform® HMT-65/EPR/P is a masterbatch and is approved by FDA.
