Antioxidant DQ

Antioxidant DQ by Akrochem is a polymerized, 2,4-trimethyl-1,2-dihydroquinoline-based antioxidant. It provides good heat and oxidative aging properties on a cost-effective basis in elastomers. It functions as a copper- and manganese inhibitor. It protects NR, SBR, EPR, EPDM, NBR, polybutadiene and polyisoprene against oxygen and heat. It is a non-blooming grade but does cause discoloration. It shows excellent dispersion and available in powder (for mill and solvent systems) and pellet (suggested for banbury mixing) form. It exhibits some anti-flex-cracking properties in natural rubber and acts as an excellent antioxidant for peroxide cures due to minimizing interference with a cure. In polymers increased amount of Antioxidant DQ amount can decrease viscosity and also enhances scorch resistance and cure time.
