Calcium stearate by Alfa Chemistry is a co-stabilizer, mold release- and water repellent flatting agent in PVC processing. It is recommended for use in phenolic resin and lubricants in making emulsions, cement and wax crayons. It provides good gloss, prevents dusting and folds cracking in paper and paperboard making. In plastics, it functions as an acid scavenger or neutralizer at concentrations up to 1000 ppm.
