NANOSTRENGTH® E41

NANOSTRENGTH® E41 by Arkema is acrylic block copolymer. It acts as an impact modifier. It has low molecular weight, low polarity, and low phase content. It is a new family of self-assembling block copolymer SBM, constituting of polystyrene, 1, 4-polybutadiene and syndiotactic poly (methyl methacrylate). It self-organize at the nanometer scale blending with a polymer compatible with one of their blocks, it disperse easily and impose a structuration to the host matrix. This organization imparts unique combinations of properties, such as impact strength, high rigidity and transparency. It has applications as additive in engineering polymer and new class of transparent acrylic materials.
