Baerolub L-AS

Baerolub L-AS by Baerlocher is N, N’-ethylene distearamide (fatty acid amide/ amide wax). Acts as a lubricant. It comprises solid fatty acids, alcohol and amide. It is cost-efficient, tailor-made, quality-controlled and future-oriented. Features high performance. Enables and facilitates processing of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) by reducing friction. Provides external lubrication that is influenced by the length of hydrocarbon chain, branching and functional groups. It reduces wall adhesion between PVC and metal surfaces. It can increase fusion time and imparts anti-blocking properties. Applications of Baerolub L-AS include rigid extrusion and rigid & flexible calendering. Listed in Commission directive 2002 (as amended) in food contact regulations (release date Aug. 2007). High dosages should be avoided as it can lead to haziness and exudation.
