Calcium Stearate GP Powder Hydense

Calcium stearate, low bulk density, fine, white powder, produced from a high quality, tallow derived fatty acid for polymer and other applications. Acts as an effective acid scavenger for polyvinyl chloride extrusion and polyolefin film extrusion and molding applications, owing to its basic nature. Very fine and consistent particle size provides very good dispersion properties in blending, compounding and extrusion equipment. High surface area and fine particle size provides very good lubrication and surface quality in reinforced thermoset and other molding applications and a very good anti-tack and mold release agent in rubber applications. Imparts very good water repellency to concrete, mortar and other masonry and construction materials, owing to its hydrophobic nature, relatively fine particle size and high surface area. Exhibits consistent quality in physical, chemical and mechanical properties. Used mainly for PVC and polyolefins. Meets the FDA regulations under CFR21 for indirect food contact applications, and NSF Standard 14 listed ingredient for use in potable pipe.
