Irganox® 1520 L by BASF is a multifunctional liquid phenolic antioxidant for processing and long-term thermal stabilization. It contains 4,6-bis (octylthiomethyl)-o-cresol. It is non-staining, non-discoloring, and low in volatility and is stable to light & heat. It effectively protects the substrate against thermo-oxidative degradation during processing and long term heat aging. Irganox® 1520 L is compatible with thermoplastic elastomers including BR, SBR, NBR, IR, SBS, SIS and natural rubber. Suitable for use in organic substrates such as elastomers, plastics etc. It can be used with other additives such as secondary antioxidants, benzofuranone, light stabilizers and other functional stabilizers. Its recommended dosage level is 0.05-0.3%.
