PuriCycle® SH by BASF is a catalyst for prehydrogenation of diolefins found in pyrolysis oils derived from plastic waste. It selectively removes polyunsaturated compounds which tend to oligomerize and condense into waxes at high processing temperature, thereby choking heat exchangers. PuriCycle® SH purifies plastic waste during recycling and increase their flexibility to enable plastics circularity.
