Tinuvin® 120

Tinuvin® 120 by BASF is benzoic acid, 3, 5-(1, 1-dimethylethyl)-, 2, 4-bis (1, 1-dimethyethyl) phenyl ester grade. It acts as a light stabilizer. Because of its lack of absorption in the visible range, it has virtually no effect on the initial color of the substrate. In colorless or pale colored systems, a combination of Tinuvin® 120 with a UV absorber such as Tinuvin® 326 is particularly effective in preventing discoloration on exposure to light. Suitable for stabilizing polypropylene, polyethylene and thermoplastic olefin. Tinuvin® 120 is particularly recommended for the stabilization of polypropylene, polyethylene and thermoplastic olefin (TPO).
