CORAPLAST DEGRADABLE PD 1001

CORAPLAST DEGRADABLE PD 1001 by Bhavin industries is a degradable masterbatch with LLDPE as carrier polymer. On adding 6 % of it to a 12 micron LDPE film will make it a photo chemically and thermally degradable film. Film will not degrade before it was exposed to UV light and once exposed to UV light, the film will continue to degrade. Once the film is transformed into a fine powder having a molecular weight of around 500 to 1000, micro-organisms will start digesting it. It has been tested by the “institute of soil science” at the royal college of forestry in Stockholm.
