2-(2-Hydroxy-3,5-di(1,1-dimethylbenzyl)-2H-benzotriazole. Acts as an ultraviolet light absorber belonging to the benzotriazole class of UVAs. Has low volatility, which makes it especially suitable for application involving high temperature processing. Is suitable for polymers requiring high temperature processing. This characteristic makes it suitable for a number of engineering thermoplastic and applications such as PET fibers, films, polycarbonates, POM, nylon as well as TPE compounding.
