Birla Carbon™ 1004

Birla Carbon™ 1004 by Birla Carbon is a high-quality carbon black. It has a medium structure with a low surface area. It is suitable for applications requiring Ultra® clean carbons for excellent surface finish and durability as well as for use in dense and blown weatherstrip for a matte finish and low conductivity. The combination of structure and particle size allows compounders to produce highly loaded hose or profile compounds with a reduced compound cost and excellent processing. Birla Carbon™ 1004 allows high compound electrical resistivity versus conventional ASTM grades for situations where electrochemical degradation or galvanic corrosion issues are encountered. It is designed for tire products and high-performance mechanical rubber goods.
