Silane in PP carrier resin (25%). Acts as a crosslinking masterbatch. It exhibits thermal stability during the grafting & extrusion process giving less or no plate out on the screw and hence higher grafting efficiency. It prevents premature polymerization of the grafting agent and provides excellent ageing properties of crosslinked polyethylene. Used in crosslinked LLDPE and LDPE low and medium voltage cables. The recommended dosage is 0.9-2% active silane by weight.
