BUDIT® 610

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Budenheim
BUDIT® 610 by Budenheim is a halogen-free, flame retardant based on melamine polyphosphate. It is a white, stable powder which decomposes at temperatures above 340°C. Due to its high phosphate and nitrogen content, it acts as a flame retardant mainly in the solid phase but has additionally a synergist acting in the gas phase. Polymer ignition and smoldering are prevented by the formation of char and the release of inert gases. BUDIT® 610 can be dispersed easily in thermoplastic polymers or in emulsions and liquid formulations. Migration is not expected in most applications, because the product is nearly insoluble in water and in most organic solvents.
