ADD MAX® 104

ADD-MAX® 104 by Byk (Altana Group) is LDPE-based proprietary processing aid formulation. It offers improved efficiency on PP and PE. It can lower the viscosity of polymer melt during processing by reducing friction between melt and the metal surfaces of the equipment. It can also reduce adhesion and melt fractures. It will not affect finished product parameters such as tensile strength, impact resistance, and long-term ring strain stability (in pipe applications). It provides increased throughput by 10-30 %. It can reduce cycle time & surface defects, improve surface properties, lower the processing temperature and reduce energy consumption. It supports a more homogeneous layer thickness and reduces yield stress, die swell and melt pressure. It exhibits quicker color changes and thereby minimizes waste and production disruptions. This product prevents adhesion to extruder, nozzles, and filters, and reduces black spots in final product. It shows no blooming and no negative impact on the printability or heat-sealing properties. ADD MAX® 104 contains non-adhesive granulates and is dust-free, safe and easy to handle. It is designed for use in cast & blown film based on PP, HDPE & LLDPE. It can be used in pipes, wires & cables and general extrusion applications. The dosage level of the grade is 0.8-2%.
