BYK® -327

BYK®-327 by BYK is a silicone-containing surface additive. It also acts as a defoamer/air release agent during production and application. It is a polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane. It improves the leveling and wetting and prevents the formation of bénard cells. This additive also slightly reduces the surface tension. It is suitable for filled systems due to slight turbidity. Recommended for systems based on thermoset polyurethane and epoxy resins. The recommended level is 0.05-0.3% additive (as supplied) based on the total formulation. It is listed in EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It is in line with Directive 2011/65/EU (EU RoHS 2), as amended by the Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 (EU RoHS 3), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste) and CONEG Toxics in Packaging. The shelf life of BYK®-327 is 36 months.
