BYK® -330

BYK®-330 by BYK is a silicone-containing, highly effective surface additive with a strong reduction of surface tension of ambient curing plastic systems. It is a solution of polyether-modified polydimethylsiloxane. It improves the wetting of critical substrates such as molds treated with release agents and prevents surface defects. It also prevents the formation of craters or fish eyes and facilitates the acceptance of spray mist or dust. BYK®-330 is recommended for systems based on unsaturated polyester resins, such as gel coats. The recommended level is 0.1-0.3 % additive (as supplied) based upon total formulation. It is listed in EINECS, TSCA, DSL, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It is in line with Directive 2011/65/EU (EU RoHS 2), as amended by the Delegated Directive (EU) 2015/863 (EU RoHS 3), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste) and CONEG Toxics in Packaging. It complies with REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. The shelf life of this product is 60 months.
