BYK® -8020

BYK®-8020 by BYK is a silicone resin-based foam stabilizer for mechanically foamable PVC plastisols. It is a silicone resin dissolved in dioctyl adipate. It stabilizes the foam in mechanically foamable PVC plastisols and is particularly characterized by the formation of a fine, homogeneous, and open-celled foam structure. It possesses very good resistance to compression set. By using BYK®-8020 it is possible to achieve a drier touch and a reduced water uptake of the gelled PVC plastisol. The recommended level is 1-4 phr additive (as supplied) based on the PVC resin. It is listed in EINECS, TSCA, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC, and ECSI. It is in line with EU Directive 2011/65/EC (RoHS 2), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste) and CONEG Toxics in Packaging. It complies with REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. The shelf life of this product is 36 months.
