BYK-MAX AS 4171

BYK-MAX AS 4171 by BYK is a VOC-free, granulated anti-static agent for use in polypropylene to reduce surface resistivity. This dust-free, safe, easy-to-handle additive contains a synergistic mixture of highly concentrated anti-static additives and non-adhesive granulates. It also offers long-lasting protection against dust attraction and other problems caused by electrostatic charge. At a dosage of 1%, BYK-MAX AS 4171 reduces the surface resistance to less than 10¹¹ ohm within 24 hours. It is characterized by outstanding demolding of the injection-molded products and good cost-effectiveness. It is processed in all types of extruders and injection molding machines. Suitable for thermoformed and injection-molded PP, food packaging, films, tapes, yarn, fibers and household products. It complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.1520. The recommended level is 0.4-1.5% additive (as supplied) based upon the total formulation. The shelf life of this product is 12 months.
