BYK® -P 9908

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by BYK
BYK®-P 9908 by BYK is processing additive/compatibilizer for polyurethane systems to prevent phase separation of polyol blends in storage tanks. It increases process reliability and reduces application time on site. It promotes the compatibility of polyol blends that have a tendency to phase separate and that are used to produce special polyurethane foams or CASE applications. The additive stabilizes the emulsion and therefore facilitates the handling of polyol blends. The reactive mixture and the final product are more homogenous. The easier and faster handling results in lower processing costs with better process control. The costs for packaging and complaint handling are reduced. BYK®-P 9908 is especially recommended for polyester, polyether, PTMEG and 1,4-butandiol. The recommended level is 1-3% additive (as supplied) based on the total formulation. It is listed in EINECS, TSCA, ENCS, PICCS, NZIoC and ECSI. It complies with EU Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU-Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging waste), CONEG Toxics in Packaging, EU Directive 2011/65/EC (RoHS 2) and REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. The shelf life of this product is 36 months.
