BYK® -220 S

BYK®-220 S by BYK is a wetting and dispersing additive containing silicone for ambient-curing plastic systems to achieve pigment stabilization and to reduce flooding/floating. It improves the dispersion of all conventional fillers, such as calcium carbonate and aluminum hydroxide. It reduces the viscosity of the filled resin, which enables increased filler content. BYK®-220 S is suited to stabilizing pigments in gel coats. This additive prevents the formation of bénard cells and improves the surface slip and leveling. It is particularly recommended for unsaturated polyester resins, acrylic, polyurethane and epoxy resins and displays the highest efficiency in all applications. The recommended level is 0.5-1.5% additive (as supplied) based upon the filler. It is listed in EINECS, TSCA, AICS, PICCS, IECSC, ENCS, NZIoC and ECSI. This product is in line with EU Directive 2011/65/EC (RoHS 2), EU Directive 2002/96/EC (WEEE), EU Directive 94/62/EC (Packaging Waste), CONEG Toxics in Packaging. It complies with REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006. The shelf life of this product is 60 months.
