BYK-MAX ASC 4182

BYK-MAX ASC 4182 by BYK is a granulated surface additive for the use in polypropylene to increase the scratch resistance. It is an organically modified siloxane, adsorbed onto a polypropylene carrier. It increases the scratch resistance of surfaces of thermoplastic molded parts based on polyolefins e.g. polypropylene (PP). In addition, it is used to enhance the surface slip of thermoplastic materials. Dosages from 1-3% result in a significant improvement of the scratch resistance of thermoplastic surfaces when used in vehicle interiors. The shelf life of BYK-MAX ASC 4182 is 12 months.
