BYK-MAX FR 4142

BYK-MAX FR 4142 by BYK is a granulated, halogen- & antimony-free flame retardant for PE in extruded products as films, fibers and tapes. It is highly effective, safe, easy to handle, dust-free and offers outstanding UV-protection system for polyethylene. It also prevents odors and has low toxicity. The HALS stabilizer contained in this additive solution not only inhibits the light-induced decomposition of the material but also acts as a radical scavenger, peroxide decomposer and reaction inhibitor. BYK-MAX FR 4142 can be added via volumetric or gravimetric dosing units during processing in production lines/film extruders, spinning plants and injection molding machines. It is designed for foils, ropes, filaments for carpets, non-woven materials and furniture. Recommended dosage level is 9% additive (as supplied) based upon total formulation. The shelf life of this product is 12 months.
