BYK-MAX HS 4303

BYK-MAX HS 4303 by BYK is a granulated, VOC-free, long-term thermal stabilizer for use in PP-based glass mat thermoplastics (GMT) and long-fiber-reinforced PP products (LFT). It possesses a synergistic formulation of processing and thermal stabilizers, which protect polymers at high temperatures by decomposing reactive peroxides and prevent the thermo-oxidative decomposition of the end product using radical scavengers. This non-adhesive granulate, dust-free, easy-to-handle additive has a very positive influence on long-term heat aging (LTHA), which makes it possible to comply with the automotive standard specifications more easily. The product does not affect the bonding properties and is non-migrating. The addition level is 3% additive (as supplied) based on the total formulation for 20-30 % glass fiber content (GMT). It can be added via volumetric or gravimetric dosing units during processing in all extruders and injection molding machines. It is recommended for long fiber-reinforced pellets for automotive parts, battery holders, mounting supports, bumpers and structural components. The shelf life of BYK-MAX HS 4303 is 12 months.
