CESA™ IR NB90050202 by Avient is a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) grade. It is a highly loaded masterbatch that replaces carbon black to make black packaging detectable during the recycling process. The dark-colored plastics are visible to the near-infrared (NIR) sensors used in automated polymer sorting systems. It is suitable for processing by injection blow molding for use in agricultural and other thermal films. It allows the penetration of short-wave IR radiation coming from solar rays and prevents the emission of longer-wave IR radiation. Exhibits very good processability, high coloration strength and dispersion quality. It also allows greenhouses to maintain an adequate temperature, even at night. CESA™ IR NB90050202 maintains transparency, increases heat retention and supports plant growth.
