Hostastat® FA 68 V

Hostastat® FA 68 V by Clariant is an ethoxylated alkyl amine based on renewable vegetable fatty acids. It provides highly effective internal antistatic properties in terms of low surface resistivity and fast static decay times. It is offered together with Clariant’s proprietary Liquid Feeding Technology as a one-stop-shop approach. Compatible with polyolefins or styrenics. It is added to equalize and reduce static charges on polymers surface preventing undesired or hazardous effects caused by dust attraction, spark discharge, ink misting. Hostastat® FA 68 V shows high compatibility with the resin and has only minor impact on surface properties like printability or sealability. It is suitable for both thick and thin applications, particularly for BOPP printable films. Its low volatiles emissions reduce vapor release during BOPP production avoiding condensation and dripping effects in the stretching and heat setting sections of the BOPP lines. Hostastat® FA 68 V is used with Hostastat® FE 2 for applications where immediate antistatic effects are required. It has a minimum shelf life of 2 years. It is halal certified.
