Blown castor oils are polymerized by oxidation in order to increase viscosity and specific gravity. Blown Castor is used as a plasticizer in lacquers, inks, adhesives, rubber and lubricants. Its hydrophobicity makes blown castor an excellent water fighter for the printing ink industry.
