Titanium complex in ethylene glycol and isopropyl alcohol. It is an esterification and polycondensation catalyst that has excellent stability in the presence of water. It allows for a reduction in the temperature required through the polymerization plant, resulting in reduced energy costs. Offers improved polymer quality and is environment friendly. It is compatible with cobalt and pigment toner systems that provide maximum control of color properties. It is used in the preparation of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottle resins from terephthalic acid or dimethyl terephthalate and ethylene glycol. It can also be used to prepare other polyalkylene terephthalates. It is approved for polyester food-contact applications.
