Celatom® Celabrite

Diatomaceous earth. Acts as anti-block agent. It is chemically inert, dimensionally stable under a wide range of temperatures, easy to disperse, and has a bright and white color, with a refractive index very similar to low density polyethylene (LDPE). This makes the DE invisible to the naked eye in the plastic film. It is typically incorporated by plastic compounders into masterbatches of resin at up to 50% DE, along with antioxidants and other performance additives. In the final film composition, the masterbatch is co-extruded with untreated resin, diluting the DE to 0.1% to 0.2% for LDPE, 0.5% to 1.0% for LLDPE. Exhibits better (lower) film yellowness, superior anti-blocking efficiency, equal or better haze performance and better cost effectiveness (value). Has superior color and performance for anti-blocking slip as well as haze. Suitable for PE and PP films.
