CUREZOL® 2P4MZ by Evonik acts as an accelerator for dicyandiamide, anhydride and phenolic curing agents. Offers single package latency from several hours to greater than six months. Provides high thermal and chemical resistance. Possesses rapid cure beyond activation temperatures. When used alone, imidazoles are some of the most efficient types of Lewis-Base catalysts. At use levels of less than 8 phr, they initiate anionic homopolymerization, creating highly cross-linked networks. It has a pot life of 3 days and shelf life of 3 years. It is used in electronic molding compound applications.
