Polycat® 9

Polycat® 9 by Evonik is a tertiary amine-based catalyst. It provides a balanced promotion of the urethane and urea reactions flexible as well as rigid foam applications. It acts as a co-catalyst with a strong blow and gel amine catalysts to balance the reaction. Polycat® 9 offers a smooth rise profile. It provides low odor, low vapor pressure and reduced onion skinning. It possesses improved odor and productivity compared with Polycat® 8 catalyst. It designed for insulation foams, including spray, rigid bunstock, board laminate and refrigeration formulations. It is recommended for microcellular foams such as shoe sole formulations and as a co-catalyst in semiflexible and flexible molded applications.
