FerroFlam® PBT RPM 540B

Stabilized, micro-encapsulated and powder grade red phosphorus in polyester carrier resin, reinforced with glass fiber. Acts as a flame retardant. It contains 40-42% red phosphorus. It is free-flowing and dust-free. Can easily be dispersed in polymer compound. It is very easy to handle, accurate to dose and safe to process. It is endowed with high thermal stability. Developed specifically for PBT. Also suitable for a blend component in other polyesters like PET. Recommended for electrical switches, domestic appliances, connectors and microwave ovens. Dosage should range from 13-15% (by wt.) based on the weight of polymers, PBT grade, processing conditions and the required flame retardancy class.
