Ongard® 2 by Lanxess is a flame retardant and smoke suppressant. It reduces smoke in a polymer which already has low flammability. For PVC plasticized with phthalate plasticizers, Ongard® 2 can be used in combination with antimony trioxide to produce flame retardant & smoke suppressed compound. It is suitable for wire and cable compositions, rigid and flexible PVC film sheet and PVC coatings on fabric and carpet backing.
