Ammonium polyphosphate. Acts as a flame retardant. It is produced by a special process which gives very uniform fine particle size and phase II crystalline form with high degree of polymerization (n>1000). It is almost insoluble in water and completely insoluble in organic solvents. Suitable for polyethylene, polypropylene, elastomers, PU foams, UP resins, phenolic resins and epoxy resins.
