Zerogen® 50 SA

Technical DataSheet | Supplied by Huber Engineered Materials

Zerogen® 50 SA by Huber Engineered Materials is a magnesium hydroxide (≥99 % (untreated base)) grade. Acts as a flame retardant and smoke suppressant. Present as odorless white powder. It is an aminosilane-treated product that provides superior compound performance when used to make fire-rated polymeric compounds. The silane treatment promotes coupling of the magnesium hydroxide to the polymer used, providing high dispersion quality and thus enhanced flame retardant performance especially for the high-loading applications. Compatible with polyolefins and polyamides. Suitable for use in compound applications where excellent electrical properties are needed, such as in cable insulation materials. Zerogen® 50 SA by Huber Engineered Materials complies with Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Inventory, Canada Domestic Substance List, Canada Non-Domestic Substance List and National Inventory of Chemical Substances (INSQ).
