JetFil® T290

JetFil® T290 by Imerys is talc-based filler. It offers improved stiffness, HDT and dimensional stability in general purpose & commodity applications. It also improves process efficiency, warpage, creep and elastic recovery. It provides increased modulus of elasticity. JetFil® T290 reduces water diffusion, weight gain and swell in water, loss of elasticity and rupture modulus in moist environment. It is used in commodity plastics applications, especially in polypropylene, where maximum reinforcement can be achieved at loadings as high as 20% to 40% while also achieving good long-term thermal stability (heat aging). It can also be used in wood composites.
