SPERSEBRIGHT OB-1 by Interspersal is an optical brightener used to increase the whiteness and brightness of plastics and synthetic fibers. It has low volatility and excellent thermal stability. It provides superior ganz whiteness in PC, PET, PS, and PMMA at concentrations as low as 100ppm. It can be used alone or in combination with SperseStab™ hindered. It is applicable in engineering plastics (PET, recycled PET, PBT, polyamides, polycarbonate), styrenic polymers, polyester, and acrylics. The recommended dosage level of SPERSEBRIGHT OB-1 for plastic and fiber is 50-1000 ppm (0.005% to 0.1% by weight). It is FDA cleared for use in all polymers (refer to FDA 21 CFR §178.3297).
