Creamish colored powder with faint odor. Excellent resistance to water, salt-sprays, mild acids and alkalies. Soluble in most non-polar aromatic solvents at elevated temperatures and almost insoluble in most of the solvents in cold conditions. Insoluble in water. Provides internal lubrication to plastic and therefore acts as an excellent aid in plastic processing before extruding, moulding or casting. Its high temperature stability and effect on surface characteristic allows it to be effective mould release agent too. Imparts anti-static properties. Also functions as a dispersant allowing faster blending and uniformity in color. Can be incorporated in the base resin or plastic by mixing and milling it with the vehicle or plesticizer or by dispersing it in solution.
