CS 371

CS 371 by KCC Basildon (Momentive) is a chopped strand fiber glass (E-glass) manufactured by low-alkali glass compositing under high temperature followed by the Bushing's nozzle process. This grade exhibits excellent thermostability, durability and electrical insulation. It possesses higher tensile strength than steel. It is strong, does not burn in fire, and offers excellent chemical resistance. It is suitable for reinforcing LCP (liquid crystal polymer) and PPS (polyphenylene sulfide). It is processed by extrusion. Possible applications of CS 371 include industrial FRTP, such as electrical/electronic parts, office supplies, vehicles, and machinery parts.
