Maleic acid ester of C9 alcohol; unsaturated reactive ester. Clear, colorless, oily liquid, with characteristic "ester" odour. Acts as an internal plasticizer for vinyl acetate, vinyl chloride, acrylates and styrenes. Shows immiscibility with water but solubility with organic solvents. Possesses high purity which allows for extended shelf life.
