SYLFAT™ FA1 Tall Oil Fatty Acid

SYLFAT™ FA1 Tall Oil Fatty Acid by KRATON is a tall oil fatty acid (TOFA) acting as a plasticizer in rubber to aid in processing. It combines a long carbon chain (C18) of relatively high unsaturation with the acid functionality of a carboxyl group (-COOH). It exhibits low viscosity, reactive poly-unsaturation and low saturated fatty acid- and bio-based content. SYLFAT™ FA1 Tall Oil Fatty Acid is used in lubricant additives, specialty industrial and household cleaners, oilfield chemicals, asphalt emulsifiers, metalworking fluids, dimer acids and alkyd resins. It shows compatibility with other liquid fatty acid and vegetable oils.
