Speedblock 770 by Lambson (Sartomer) is bis(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl) sebacate. Acts as a hindered amine light stabilizer. Its mode of operation is to act as a radical trap to prevent the propagation of free radicals once formed. It has low molecular weight, is easily dispersed and hence exhibits broad compatibility. Speedblock 770 is compatible with polystyrene, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene, acrylonitrile styrene acrylate, polyolefins, acrylic polymers, impact polystyrene, polyurethanes, styrene acrylonitrile, polyacetals and polyamides. Recommended dosage is 0.1-0.5%, depending on the substrate, processing conditions and applications. It has a shelf life of 2 years.
