Antilux® 654

Technical DataSheet | Supplied by Lanxess

Antilux® 654 is a blend of selected paraffins and micro-waxes with medium-broad molecular weight distribution. Acts as an antiozonant and protects rubber against weathering influences. It migrates to the surface of the vulcanizates forming a complete protective film which remains stable at temperatures from -10°C to about 50°C. The formation of the protective film takes place at a medium-fast rate. The protective film shows an excellent stability against dynamic stress. To ensure a good dispersion it is recommended to add Antilux® 654 right at the beginning of the mixing cycle. Applications include tires and technical rubber articles such as conveyor belts, cable coverings as well as technical molded and extruded articles (e.g. profiles) used at higher service temperatures. Recommended dosage is 1-4 phr for tires and < 10 phr in other rubber articles, depending on the type of compound.
