Baymod® PU-MOD

Baymod® PU-MOD is an aliphatic polyester urethane with a low content of PVC as a dusting agent. Acts as a plasticizing polymer for improving the resistance of PVC to oil, grease, solvents and abrasion. It is compatible with PVC in any mixing ratio. Monomeric or polymeric plasticizers can be added if greater flexibility is required. Mixtures of PVC and Baymod® PU-MOD are oil, grease and solvent resistant, non-volatile, resistant to abrasion and tear propagation, migration resistant, lightfast, resistant to extraction by most organic solvents, including perchloroethylene and trichloroethylene, low-temperature- & bitumen resistant, low-fogging. In extrusion, it is used in oil and petrol resistant hose, computer cables, abrasion and migration resistant cable sheathing, special profiles for the automotive and building industries, conveyor belts for the food industry, profiles and gaskets with low-temperature flexibility, special profiles for contact with other plastics. In injection molding, it finds applications in boots for the oil and fishing industries, work shoes and abrasion resistant soles, bellows and moulded parts for automotive industry. In calendaring for floor coverings, oil and petrol resistant films, dry-cleaning resistant film for the clothing industry and low-fogging film for the automotive industry. It has a shelf life of 12 months.
