EADC by Lanxess is ethylaluminum dichloride-based catalyst. Possesses at least one-carbon-metal bond and provides alkylating-, reducing- and lewis-acid properties. EADC is suitable for the manufacture of synthetic elastomers & rubbers with Ziegler-Natta-catalysts and for the dimerisation of olefins. It is used in friedel-crafts acylations.
