Preventol® A 3 by Lanxess is phthalimide derivative-based fungicide. It is used in fungicidal treatment of plastics for technical applications, in plasticized PVC. It is effective against mold fungi which cause the discoloration and destruction of plastics (visual degradation, cracking and premature product failure) such as the aspergillus, penicillium species and "pink stain".
