Rhenofit® PAN by Rhein Chemie Additives (Lanxess Group) is an anti-oxidant for natural- and synthetic rubber. It provides protection against oxidation and heat. It exhibits excellent protection from rubber poisons. It is suitable for vulcanizates based on polychloroprene that are exposed to heat. The light colored vulcanizates produced undergo brown discoloration on exposure to natural or artificial light. The chemical migrates into materials with which the article is in contact (e.g. into plastics or other rubber goods) and dis-colored through mere contact or - after contact - through exposure to light. It is applicable in SBR, BR, NBR, CR, IR and particularly for articles subjected to heavy dynamic stressing like tires, conveyor belts, transmission belts and buffers. It is also used for hoses, extrudates, rollers and roller cover. Rhenofit® PAN has a shelf life of 2 years.
